  • How long are the sessions?
    Approximately 60 - 75 minutes.
  • How many sessions will I need?
    Each individual will have a tailored treatment plan specific to their needs. After your initial session, we can talk about what your specific treatment plan looks like, mutually discuss goals and map out a session plan together.
  • When will I see results?
    Results are as individual as the person and the issue. You should feel better just by knowing you are supported after the first session and progress as you move forward with your treatment plan.
  • What can I expect in therapy?
    At WellMinded we believe in the therapeutic relationship. You can expect to be greeted warmly and will find a comfortable setting where conversations can take place naturally. As your Counsellor, I am here to actively support and work with you as you set the pace. This is all about you and your needs. There is nothing that you can say that could cause judgment, we are all human and it is my job to support you.
  • I'm apprehensive, are you going to get in my head?
    This one is a common misconception. As a counsellor, I do not have superpowers and I can not see what you are thinking. I am intuitive and have been around the block a few times, but I never assume to know what anyone is thinking. We work together to build a comfortable relationship that benefits your healing process.
  • What is the Cancellation Policy?
    Life is messy sometimes, we get that. We ask for 24 hours in advance to cancel, but also know that things come up unexpectedly. Those Cancelling an appointment less than 12 hours beforehand will be charged a $65 cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged for the whole session.
  • How do I pay my bill?
    Wellminded accepts e-transfer or credit cards
  • Does insurance cover my appointment?
    Many extended health providers cover Professional Counselling services, you will have to check with your service provider directly to find out what they cover.
